Called me today to mumble something about life insurance. I said I have it and the caller then mumbled for about a minute and I said - politely - I don’t understand a thing you just said. She said “oh realy then how are you able to respond?” Which is both nonsensical and confrontational. Then she put the phone down. She beat me to it.

"Two debits to your ???? account, one £300 from Amazon, the other from an overseas authority... both look suspicious, press 1 to approve payment, or 2 to talk to us". Claimed to be from BT hacking dept. Said my connection was being used by a hacker and they would have to close down my line unless I let them install anti hacking software. During the process £1800 was stolen from my credit card and my laptop is unusable. BT says 01623744013 isn't a phone number.
i paid this company 150 for a date that never happened 1st time was cancelled next time was ment to be re arranged but never got re arranged ring trading standards if you have been scammed by these people get your money back and make a stand
