SCAM Fake recorded message pretending to be from NCA the national crime agency regarding National Insurance Numbers. Reported to Police.
I ve had that many calls from this number recently it s getting me down. The callers are MKRR a debt collection company but they have no legal right to be ringing and pestering the public. I am wary of answering my phone to any unknown numbers and thank god for caller display! They keep mithering by post as well but I ve been advised to ignore them.
An asian sounding lady was on phone said she is from a "company information bureau" saying they want to complete a "2 minute" survey. Number is from Bristol... They knew my name so wondering how they got my details... REFUSE THE CALL.

A man called me from this number saying he was from santander asking me to verify my bank security questions,I told him to put any questions in writing to me as I wasn t going to tell anyone these details,he then preceded to ask me for them again! And reckoned he couldn t tell me what it was about until I could give him these details,are they really so stupid to think they d get anything?! and no the bank knew nothing about it when I checked.
Got call from guy trying to sell Anglian windows, when i said i wasnt interested and told him i should not receive marketing calls anyway on my line, he kept calling me and then putting the phone down, this happening about 20 times in one evening. Avoid them like the plague.

These are both premium-rate, non-geographic numbers, and if they have called you, probably spoofed anyway - they tend to be used for TV/radio phone-in competitions.

SCAM called offering for my business to be featured in a publication which will highlighting legitimate local businesses and rogue traders (hopefully I fall into the former). Asked if I'd like to be featured as their "(my profession) of the year" for a fee, when I questioned it they hung up. I messaged him back informing him that my brother who is a Police Officer will be in touch shortly.. Then I blocked him….
