But after listening to the voicemail they left I found it was this company who gave a call back number or 01527 419 162 regarding Scottish power. Very fishy sounding to me and glad I read these posts before thinking of calling back!

An male idiot called me to follow up on a brochure I had ordered. I told him I previously did arrange for a home visit and these planks cancelled it at 2 hours notice citing a broken down car. I told him that this was a lame excuse - hadn’t they heard of car hire? He kept saying “ we can foretell a breakdown” repeatedly! Scam phone call trying to extrot money and personal details.

This call started with a cheerful but computer generated voice (young, female , English with very slight accent) saying, "Hello, my name is..." As it was clearly not a real person, I considered this a lie and hung up.

so angry, now had 5 calls from this number, and can t call it back, nobody speaks. Rang us at 11.15pm and again between 1 and 2am last night. registered with TPS but they can t stop it and BT can t help unless we pay for a blocker and different phones. So wrong these companies can do this to the public, also scary when phone rings in the middle of the night
