Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Similar numbers are reported as a telemarketing - scam PPI calls mainly. Did someone answer any number of this range? Is there any reason why companies use line with shared costs for just ringing you and left no message (other than scam...)? If this was a silent call for you, do not call back for any reason! Woke this morning to a missed call. Call was at 3.40am on a Sunday morning. I could tell it wasn't from the UK. Thank goodness I Google it before ringing back as it could have been a family member !!
Consumer research....and as like all these type of operations...when someone actually answers the phone at the customer end, the call is put through to an operator...if there is one available, hence the silence if one is not immediately there. They do state, if calling the number back, to leave your name and number to remove you from the database, which I have....so we shall see if these "nuisance" calls do actually stop!

Uknown caller who keeps calling but saying nothing
SCAM They referred to the national "Renewable Energy Database" and hung up on me when I questioned how they had information about my loft insulation when I have never told anyone! The Database exists but it does NOT have this information. It is for tracking "the progress of UK renewable electricity projects over 150kW through the planning system".
I've lately been receiving calls from this number. It's one I dont recognise therefore I dont answer it.
