Unfortunately both times they call but don?t speak, obviously if it?s because I answered ?hello? with no company name it?s because they called my house number! Most people realise it must be the wrong number but have the decency to a) apologise and b) not call again, but these people obviously don?t have any manners...

I have to say, if I picked up a call and they said they were calling on behalf of my bank but couldn t confirm which bank, I would immediately think scam or fake call and I d put the phone down.

Call from a telephone blocking service. He asked if I received nuisance calls. I said yes plenty but he didn t understand the irony and pressed on with his script. I asked where he was based. He said 70 Margaret Street London which is the HQ of the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) (Note that the caller was NOT from the TPS). I asked him the name of the nearest underground station at which point he terminated the call.
