this number called me today. i ask them to remove my number their system and the person on the other end would not listen and kept saying he had new for me etc. i told him repeatedly i was not interested but again did not hear me....i had to hang up eventually

Called my landline, left no message. Saw is it from Macclesfield so blocked it. Fed up with all these calls.

this number text me saying this is their new number and had lost contacts. They asked so send numbers of people we both knew. I stupidly thought it was my aunt Sue, and sent my mum, cousin and Nan s numbers. Asked to speak to my mother who died 2 years ago, fed up of these cold calling morons.

This number has rung my elderly mother claiming that she has one £50,000 and all she needed to do was transfer £400 into an account. Instantly, we knew this was a fraud. Yet they were willing to send a taxi round to my disabled mother to take her to the bank to deposit this money. SCAM

In answer to your question, Mike - because the lowlifes that initiate spam/scam calls do so without much regard for convention, and as they use VoIP phones, it is easy for them ...
