They then managed to trigger the Amazon reset password text message and pressured me to give me that code to them, presumably so that they could take control of my Amazon account. Got quite upset when I refused to give them the code

Phoned today at12.15 pm. Fairly gruff voice. Purportedly from BT. Asked me to confirm that I had been in touch with BT this morning. As I had, I said yes. There was some hesitation and a lot of background noise. I asked what he wanted. He asked if contact was by phone or mail (I think). I replied that the contact was on the internet and he abruptly ended the call.

Received 3 calls this week (13th. - 17th. March) on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Female caller asked to speak to someone not at this address, claiming to be from Virgin Media. Very difficult to understand, possibly East Asian.

This company uses Voxbone SA (now called bandwidth) services to route calls from scammers. this is just one of many telephone numbers i have had call me trying to scam me and i receive up to six per day for the past few weeks. At the beginning I politely told them that i was not interested requesting them to take my number off their call list and now its straight FO. Called me claiming to be Scottish Power, wanted me to tell them my address, saying I had a debt on my account. I asked them to tell me the address to which they claimed the debt was overdue on, but they couldn't.
