They rang our landline and asked to speak to the BT broadband account holder. I said I was the broadband user and then they put the phone down on me. So I have blocked the number.

Number has called my mobile several times in a few days, which would be unusual for spam calls to my phone, tried calling back from mobile & call just fails, tried from land...

One time these jokers had my full name - which I did not confirm. Be wary.

This is a third party marketing company who call on behalf of ALL mobile providers (T-mobile, Orange, Vodafone, O2 etc) In my case it was T-mobile and I phoned 150 from my mobile and requested my PAC number from their retentions department, intimating that I was leaving them. After some nonsense from them I pointed out that the number 01462 439891 was on their web site as an authorised service partner I was told that the issue would be looked into and I would get a call back. They ring it when you ve placed an order in the pretence of confirming delivery details etc. In fact, their sole purpose is to sell you their costly insurance cover for the items you ve bought. No new information re delivery details is provided, they just repeat your order details. These are unsolicited scripted insurance sales calls and as such a form of harassment. They don t leave a message when they ring so that you ring back and incur the cost of the call. Very shoddy behaviour.
