Does relate to an account setup. It s a company relates to crypto and it s a courtesy call. Caller is actually in Cyprus not London Dodgy number but thanks BT for allowing such things legal but misleading. Call genuine.

Said he was from Domestic and General asked for my name, and then said he could not hear me could I give it again which I did. I had cancelled a insurance with D & G and thought they were ring to make me change my name. He then asked for the first name of my address and post code, and again said he couldn t hear me and asked me to repeat it again. This is when I got suspicious and hung up. I rang D & G and they apparently do not keep a record of outgoing cals.

I made the mistake of ordering a kitchen appliance from Boots Kitchen Appliances / AO. Within a day I d received 8 sales calls. Do not give these people your number. Not even for "delivery purposes". They will instead use it to spam you relentlessly until you eventually block them. They even switched to using a "Private" number when they realised they had been blocked. THis company called me and said a member of my family had been involved in a car crash. I asked could this be my mum, who had driven me to work this morning and then gone home, but wouldn t give me more information, or even tell me if she was ok. Eventually they said that she hadn t been in an accident and it was a sales call. Disgusting.

I received 3 calls in a day. I Googled the number and saw this and other threads. The girl said she was called Sophie Joyce (surname given after I questioned her for it) and the company she was working for was Outspire Insource on behalf of EE. Started trying to sell me some new deals. I revealed that I had Googled the number and had read that a number of people had posted to say it was a scam.
