Called just a moment ago and automated voice said they were from Amazon prime and were going to charge £39.99 unless I pressed “1”. Total scam and this looked like it was from my own town as dialling code was the same. Clever. Block calls.

I just had a call from this number saying that there is a tax fraud investigation in my name and tonprrss one to speak to a caseworker, otherwise a warrant will be issued for my arrest, I have checked the government website and thaley have confirmed that this is a scam and to disconnect from the called immediately
This call is from Markets.com a trading broker firm who offer a charting and trading platform.

I went along with it just for the fun of it until i told him where to go and to stop trying to scam people, he told me 'I'm going to regret that' Asked for my bank details to transfer 1p to me to make sure i was the right person, even though he had my name and post code When i questioned if that was a threat, he hung up on me

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. Answered this random call to my mobile, automated message saying that a charge had been made against my name from the inland revenue. Ridiculous, I called back to challenge them. A foreign man answered saying HMRC can I help you? I asked why they called me, he asked if he could have my name. I said no. He said You had better get ready to be arrested, Ms ....... (using my name, which I hadn t given), then hung up. Vile scum.
