Had a call today saying that they were a new company setting up in my local area and they already had a company in Leeds. Asked me if I drank water. Said no - he was surprised! Then said he didn t blame me. Asked if I would answer a few simple questions to be entered into a prize draw for a holiday. Told me if I won (which was very likely) then he would deliver the tickets to me in person at my house tomorrow. I asked him where he got my number from and he said that I had obviously bought an American

why do people hang up when you ask who is calling

Call answered by elderly recipient who was confused by the call. No speach made.

Same number has tried to call me daily for weeks. I have installed an android app called CM security which blocks numbers you have reported and also what the other app users have reported. You will still receive a notification that they have tried to call though.

Ex directory numbers are not immune from auto diallers which call every number in a sequence without regard to ex directory, TPS etc status.

Claimed to be from Microsoft in Reading, said I had an issue with my computer.

wouldn’t answer as nearly all capquest numbers are ‭07794 986 xxx. It is just the last 3 change around but they are usually around the 250 mark. The chances of anyone else ringing me first thing in the morning off the same number are very very slim indeed! (I’m ex PI and this case should never have gone into debt collection, beware of Greenstar energy!)

Blocked this number ages ago as I have read bad things. I don t want a smart meter and if I did then I certainly wouldn t get one with OVO now after the numerous calls to me. Even though it s blocked it still comes up on my app and I ve had a call every day for a month! RIDICULOUS

Caller said he was from Microsoft. Said that my PC had been compromised by hackers. After leading him on for a while I asked him straight if he was after money. He said that he was trying to help but then threatened to lock up my computer. I hung up.

when you change any of your details with your online banking app/account a code will be sent to you to confirm it was you who made the change/update to the telephone/mobile associated to your account not applying the code will discard any changes you have made a (trustworthy number)

Automated call telling my BT internet line has been compromised and will be disconnected etc etc. Usual old flannel and phishing attempt.
