Fake government scam
Had 4 missed calls from this number today so rang it back. It s a recorded message for yay.com asking you to protect your phone etc using their cloud. Don t know where they got my number from. But the message does end asking you to ring a 0330 number!!

It's probably some sort of scam! I have had 4 phone calls today from different numbers in different areas. The last one I researched was Carphone warehouse
These keep ringing me saying there o2 but not sure.they ring 6 times a day ?
SCAM: Amazon Prime scam. Female automated voice ‘Hi, this is your reminder that your Amazon Prime subscription has been auto-renewed and you have been charged seventy nine nine nine’ (No currency mentioned!) Press 1 to cancel, press 2 for any other queries. Identical call to one I had from this dialling code last week.

Had a call at approximately 11.10pm that sounded fraudulent. Have a close relative in hospital with a severe heart condition so have been waiting by the phone for urgent news of their status. We have never had a call of this nature on our landline or at this hour and due to the circumstances it has caused enormous and unnecessary distress. Overwhelmed as i write this.

Anyone reporting this number as dangerous is a Swansea University staff member forwarding their office phone calls to their personal mobile phone, as the calls will appear as if they were from the university when the staff member receives the call. This is a Swansea University switchboard number.

The number called my friend and asked "how are you " on WhatsApp we didn't recognise the number so it is now blocked. We know no-one from Russia.

This is NOT a nuisance call. It is from Brookfields Hospital address:351 Mill Rd,Cambridge.
SCAM Started with an automated message informing me that two transactions have taken place on a Visa debit card for varying amounts. Press "1" to approve, press "2" if I dont know. Pressed 2 out of curiosity and was transferred to a man asking for the reason of the call. I repeat the message I received and he then repeats the transaction amounts (obviously reading from a script). Asked him which bank this account was associated with (which he obviously doesn't know). Claimed to be calling from o2 offering 40% discount. I was sent a text message with a code and asked for the code. (suspicious) I was then asked for the answer to my security question. (dead giveaway)
