I never get these kinds of calls. But I had this number calling me today and yesterday (2 & 3 June 2020) with a recorded message claiming to be from BT and informing you that your internet will be cut off in 24 hours due to suspicious activity on your account. On the 3rd time they called, I actually pressed "1" to "speak to a consultant" and asked them to remove my number from their list. They then just hung up on me. Hopefully that will be the last of that! :-)

Phoned me yesterday, i answered as this is a local number to me. Line was quiet initially, and then a male voice stated where he was calling from (though he said it so fast, no one would have a chance in understanding where he was calling from). He then went on to say "you recent life insurance claim has been refused". Calling for months tried blocking them its hopeless don t owe any money this is so annoying need to be fined.
Recorded female voice claiming to be from HMRC stating that a writ had been filed against me and that I needed to call back on another number to avoid additional consequences. Sounded very authentic except that HMRC are unlikely to call anyone at 1030 on a Saturday morning! Would be very frightening for a vulnerable person. Clearly a scam
