Claiming to be from O2 offering a mobile upgrade but when I said I'm not with O2 he said he could still offer me an upgrade. Likely some kind of con.
SCAM - On answer a strident recorded message tells you that "A criminal tax fraud case has been lodged against you". I didn't bother listening to the full message - I heard enough to know it was a pathetic criminal trying to scare people into handing them either personal data or money. Call from India saying they calling from HMRC. Ask for all personal details which obviously I didn't give and they told me to go to hell and cut the line.
Called telling me I pay ?7 for maintenance of my TV and was offering a saving but soon hung up when I said I don t pay anything - to be fair the caller apologised.

As we have registered our business line with Corporate TPS months ago, this is one of multiple illegal calls we receive promising to get us PPI refunds within 12 weeks. This call, like all the others which also offer Private Pensions 3K windfalls, is an automated message and cuts off within 10 seconds, telling you to press 5 to start your claim or 9 to unsubscribe. Can someone tell me what happens when you press 9?

Caller identified herself as Julie Smith from Signet Advice (as far as I could tell with some background noise). Said she d been informed I was recently injured in a car accident that wasn t my fault. I asked her how she knew that. She replied that she was sorry to bother me and would remove my phone number from their database and hung up on me without pausing for breath. Pond scum. (My number is registered with TPS and I can t stand talking to idiots so I ve reported them)

Calling about the car accident I had (I haven t had one) telling me money had been set aside for me. They ended call as soon as I said I hadn t been in an accident. Now blocked the number.
Fraud, pretending to be a pretty chinese girl messaging through WhatsApp, but it is unacceptable an incompetent scammer who is very poor at his job. Seems to be in the extreme end of stupid. I played him along for weeks and am still nibbling on the bait. He's investing a lot of time and effort and is oblivious to the fact I'm on to him. Uses a VPN based in Dublin.
