Received three calls this morning. First, claiming to be from BT calling about my internet service. Second, silence when I answer. Third, claiming to be from TalkTalk and claiming that my internet will be shut down in 24 hours and my internet has been hacked by foreigners. I requested their full name and received no answer. I ended the call.

I had a silent call (on 15/5/15)& as I was expecting a call from unknown people on this area code, I used 1471 and phoned back. I heard a recorded message "You were called today by Media Match. The cal was not important and we will try again later. Goodbye" A Google search for Media Match shows a US firm with this name, but on websites similar to this one they claim that they do not cold-call and that their name is being mis-used. The first time they rang there was call-centre style background noise so I hung up before anyone spoke. Calling later in the day, a man started by being friendly "How are you today", but when his introductory spiel mentioned he d be asking questions to find my opinion, I interrupted him to say I don t do surveys. I terminated the call and blocked the number with BT 1572 Call Protect

Said they were a company called Black Pearl - asking about my bank details etc. Obviously scammers for claims etc. Do not answer and block. Ofcom and TPS get on it and make some proper attempts to stop these nusisance and scam calls.

Company tries to sell alternative investments in oil, gold & diamonds. The company is outside uk financial regulation & cited by the regulator as engaging in share scams.

Asked if I was "Colin Shuttleworth". When I said no the man made a noise as if it was ME who had inconvenienced him.
