I had this call yesterday and told them I am not interested in a smart meter. He wanted me to confirm my name and address . They said I won't be contacted anymore. They do announce themselves to contact customers on behalf of EON and are not actually EON.I am sure eon knows about it despite they deny they use such call centres. Other websites say its Indian call centres asking for details claim to be EE or o2 or Virgin so that doesnt sound very authentic does it - and if you havent asked for Indian call centres to call you its spam and a likely fraud

It seems as though this could be a nuisance caller. My husband and I have both had calls from this number today, on our mobiles, while on holiday in France. It's slightly worrying, as we have many friends and relatives in the Manchester area. Our phones silence any unknown numbers but as no voicemail messages were left we are assuming the calls weren't important.

I had missed call on my mobile. I phoned the number from a land-line, and at first there was no answer. It went straight to Vodafone answerphone. I phoned a second time, and a man with a foreign accent answered. I asked who it was but he just said "You phoned me!" He then asked what company I was phoning from. He was quite rude and abrupt. It's a number for Royal Mail Slough delivery office, so should not be being given out by Ali express. Don't ring it, they must keep the phone off the hook because they are tired of all the calls they get through (incorrectly). If you want more info then just ring the normal royal mail customer services who will tell you if the tracking number is valid but only confirm whatever the Royal mail tracker says (which in my case doesn't even show that parcel has been sent to Royal Mail).

Probable Fraud/Scam - Heavily Indian accented female called Rachel called me purporting to be working for Microsoft at the Reading Campus. Claimed there was a problem with my computer and "bad people were using it for bad things on the internet". Told me she would deactivate my computer if I didn't do what she said. Got quite rude when I told her I didn't believe her. Stalled her for 5 minutes before she hung up on me.
