Just took a call from this number - they asked for me by name and then said I had recently entered a competition and thats how they got my number and they wanted to save me money on my power supplier - I politely explained I wasnt the bill payer and wasn t interested. The guy then demanded to speak to the bill payer - I told him they are not available and not interested. He then went on a rant at me - at which point I hung up and blocked the number. I have had these calls - they phoned my mobile and I didn't think till later how they got it. They said they were calling re problems with cavity wall insulation which I had done a few years. I was convinced and made arrangements for a visit on Monday - its weekend now so cannot contact them. If they call I will just turn them away. Its so easy to get drawn in.

FRAUD ‘phone call from +44 2083684454 (This call originates from a bit of pavement in Trafalgar Square, Central London!) It’s a scam telling you of an “unauthorised” VISA payment on your account. (Even if you don’t have a VISA account! It encourages you to press 1 to speak to an adviser (someone will answer but however reassuring they are they DON’T work for VISA.
