I received a text from 07538328228 saying they were from Santander (I think the spelling may be wrong). telling me that a new device has been registered and payment requested to Mr C Jones. I'm NOT A CUSTOMER OF "SANTANDER". SCAM!!!

Seems to be used for some really wide-scope telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 118328xxxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with very sophisticated robocalls, sometimes classical RTA - ''you have been in a car accident'', sometimes Microsoft support - general computer support, in most cases unsolicited. This line should belong to some company, but no remark on internet about it. Haven't found any info for this one, does anyone have some experience with this number? Be aware if this number calls, it is for a shared costs, so better not to call back. Similar numbers are reported with debt management / PPI - insurance marketing and ambulance chasers / financial marketing.

Recorded message said was from national Crime Agency and my NI number was suspended and to press 1 to speak to an Officer. Total BS block the number its absolutely Fraud and a scam. They must think we are brainless?

Female voice on 2 calls. First call at 1422 hrs on 16 May 2018. Second call at13.50hrs on 17 May 2018. On both occasions claimed that HMRC are about to sue me and to press 1 to speak to my case officer. Presumably a scam targeting vulnerable people
