Other websites say its Indian call centres asking for details claim to be EE or o2 or Virgin so that doesnt sound very authentic does it - and if you havent asked for Indian call centres to call you its spam and a likely fraud

SCAM Text from this number supposidly from HSBC Bank about a payment from my account. I don't have an HSBC account. BEWARE

SCAM I was out when this number called. They did not leave a message on my answer phone but the number was recorded on my incoming call information system. Same person who called one Aberdeen number (allegedly!) called me saying his name was "Nigel" from Carphone Warehouse. Asian accented and probable scam as when I asked him which branch of CPW, he immediately terminated the call. Criminal scam!
