Caller (Tom) says a cheque for £3100 due, and something about a cancellation call relating to an Abbey (?) bank account. Calling my elderly father s number. I believe this to be a scam. Fortunately my father isn t able to return the call.

***DO NOT ANSWER THIS NUMBER!!!*** ***PHISHING/FRAUD*** This phone number contacted me with the automated message about my MASTER CARD Bank card has been used in a suspicious transaction 2x today. Once there's been a £700 transferred and later on a £900. I hung up at that point.

I have the TruCaller App (Free version) it notifies you of scams, etc before you answer. I will be using this on my new phone, it s a great little App and instantly told me this was a PPI scam. I recommend this App to anyone, and I blocked this number straight away. All numbers TruCaller checks against a huge database of Blaclisted phone numbers.

THEY PHONED MY SHOP TODAY SAYING THEY WERE FROM METERING DEPARTMENT AND MY GAS METER WAS GIVING FALSE READING OF OVER £6000, THEY WANTED TO SEND AN ENGINEER TO CHECK IT BUT NEEDED MY CONTRACT NUMBER. They call scammed People and promise them to be refunded, in fact they call themselves blockchain refund Department. But you have to transfer a percentage of the amount to a Bitcoin account, and from there they make it disappear in a moment. They can be very convincing, they are dangerous.
Apparently from Alzheimers Society. But was super rude when I said I was too busy to talk at that time and to call back. Not great at all. They couldn't even remember who they were representing at first and had to take a moment to remember the charity name!
This number is a company called Natural Essentials. They flog over-priced vitamins and supplements to vulnerable elderly people. They are really persistent. When they come up against call blockers, they instantly re-dial with alternative numbers. Just recently they are even switching to international numbers in an effort to bypass.
