Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. Called at 20.15PM on June 6th 2017. Knew name and address. They said they left an energy tester! Also they would be calling for it tommorrow. We said no not interested. They then nastily said we will be there at 2pm anyway! I phoned local police. They said harassment caller also the number was a leeds number but the 4 after 0113 is not a leeds number. Some kind of generated number.

I had a call from 08004118899 trying to persuade me to buy plan to cover a Hotpoint washing machine as according to them my warranty has expired. Since I have never registered this machine and I doubt the respected shop from which it was bought would give them my details I was suspicious of their company and proposed service. Looking at these comments it would appear I am correct in resisting their advances.

Called today said he was Steve from TalkTalk and my internet connection was about to be shut off for 15 days. He would send a new router and cable to avoid this. He was about to ask me to follow instructions to re-set router, etc when I asked for proof he was from TalkTalk. He hung up! Funny though, we are actually in talks with TalkTalk about a new router and seem to get scam calls right after we speak to them!
