My number on contract with o2 taken over by fraudster. O2 cancelled the number but it has been used in attempts to access my credit cards. Also possibly being used as a debit card app. number. Police and Action Fraud are aware.

Received a call today (25.01.23) stating I was being investigated by HMRC and to press number 1 to speak with an operative. I just did nothing and the call was ended automatically. I'm guessing this was a scammer! Blocked of course.

Microsoft from Reading called from this number and repeated the call 3 times despite scepticsm. Apparently all our devices have been hacked. I had a message from this number saying hi mum I’ve dropped my phone, can you message me on this number. I replied asking who it was. Then got a WhatsApp saying hi mum it’s Jenny are you busy. I don’t know this person, and suspected a scam, so I blocked the number.
