Received a recorded message alledgedly from the National Crime Squad Agency advising that my National Insurance Number had been involved in fraudulent activities - press 1 to speak to an officer....... As it has come from a mobile number I doubt very much this is legit so will follow this up with the Gov website & correct channels.

19 Oct 2021 - Received at 13.45 hours. As I didn't speak, line went dead! Experience has taught me that many scam calls are voice activated, thus, if you remain silent, they cut off! Reply

Had this number calling me up to 10 times a day. When you answer - line is silent. Called the number back where machine voice says something like 'All our agents are busy please stay on the line'. 10 seconds later call is closed! Had to try as the area code (01424) is very local to me.

This number called claiming to be from EE. They managed to get my card number and expiry date, by offering me a new deal on a phone. I have now had to cancel my card. This is a scam!
