SCAM! Automated SCAM call pretending to be from HMRC. Do not speak to anyone and hang-up immediately. Report to HMRC @ phishing@hmrc.gov.uk HMRC is aware of an automated phone call scam which will tell you HMRC is filing a lawsuit against you, and to press one to speak to a caseworker to make a payment. We can confirm this is a scam and you should end the call immediately. This scam has been widely reported and often targets elderly and vulnerable people.

Called my father-in-law several times and he gave them my number to call. They claim he is entitled to compensation for "no injuries" in a recent no fault accident. When I told them this would be fraud they eventually so "ok sir" and hung up the phone. The caller sounded of south Asian accent and was obviously reading from a script and became confused
