I work at a bingo club in bedfordshire and while at work I have just received a call from this number. Upon answering a male with an asian accent said something I could not understand. I asked him to repeat what he said and he simply said "you had a car accident a while ago yes?" I politely told him that the number he has rang was in fact a bingo club. He hung up straight away. This number is used to scam people. They recorded messages intended to scare you in doing something you may regret. I was called from this number - 02034640874 on bank holiday Monday (UK). There was a recorded message which read "You were called by HMRC because there is a fraud registered against your name. Press 3 to continue. If you don't press 3 then you will be arrested immediately." This is a scam. HMRC would never call you to warn you of an impending arrest.

Bunch of liars!! Called me supposedly on behalf of British Gas(!!?) and told me as my current supplier she could offer me a new fixed tariff. I am not with British Gas. When I called her a liar and said a couple of other things relating to her wasting my time whilst at work, she said "same to you" and a number of VERY unpleasant expletives before shouting down the line and hanging up. If only I could get my hands on these effing people........

Silence when answering the phone. Happened twice today. Try calling the number back and it rings then just cuts off.
I ve had 2 calls from a person with an asian accent claiming to be from "national accident department" which is dodgy. He was "guessing" I had been involved in a car accident. I tried to quiz him knowing this was a scam of some sort. When I pressed him on the details of any accident,he bluffed as he knew I was asking too many questions. The only real info I got was he was in Birmingham, all other information I got was just fiction. The clue to the call is upon picking up the receiver there is a 5 second
