SCAM - called purporting to be bank checking up on payment, wanting to speak to advisor re: potential fraudulent transactions. Called on a work number not associated with any bank account/card so obviously a scam.
Got a call about a dubious payment, and opted to call back HSBC myself rather than chat with them. Suspicions turned out to be correct as HSBC had no document of any such issue, nor of a call made to me earlier that day.
