SCAM most definitely a scam - recorded announcement saying your Visa card has been compromised with a transaction of £300 at Amazon, etc. Instructed to press 1 to report it - DON'T! Just put the phone down.

Automated message saying it's on behalf of HMRS. Claiming there is tax fraud on my name?!. Asking to press 1 to get connected to the HMRS officer. If not a warrant will be issued on my name and I will be arrested. I hang up by a mistake as I was still partially asleep.

I m usually good with detecting nuisance call like this one but on this occasion I was ecpecting a call from a company and seeing I missed a call from this number, I called it back and made a further mistake by listening to the short message which said "This is a marketing call, you don t have to cll us back BUT PRESS 9 IF YOU DON T WANT TO HEAR FROM US AGAIN".
