SCAM sounded like a genuine call from Virgin Media about internet problems. Said their server had been receiving errors from my hub. Suspicious when they started asking me what apps I ran on my phone. Even more suspicious when they wanted me to download remote control software so they 'could show me the problem ' Noticeable change in tone when I said I was an IT professional. Hung up the phone and called Virgin who confirmed they'd never ask someone to download software.
Missed call called number back, BT said number not recognised. This number calls me nearly every day, I did answer it once and they put the phone down. It’s very annoying , I have blocked the number now.

Claimed to be from Council Housing Association calling about reported repairs needed to my property. I was confused and asked what he meant as I am not in a council house. The voice on the other end repeated themselves, I told them again I am not in a council property and an automated AI thanked me for my time and hung up.

Went through all the comments, I found some painful, while some were funny. My conclusion is most people can still get scammed just because they can’t read in- between the lines. I’ve be victimized. Now I have a resident expert and a professional hacker who helped me recover my funds and so far, it had been worth it. Hackers easily know a bitcoin scam. I am in Greece and have a Greek mobile. I had a missed call from this number. As we have UK-based clients I called the number back and the bakery had no idea what I was talking about! I have come across this before with UK numbers, can a third party somehow hijack a landline number?

Calls from 0115-677-5963 are a Scam! If ever you don't recognise the number, DON'T SPEAK & JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear anyone and after a short pause the line goes dead, then congratulations you've just successfully escaped being scammed! This is because it was a computer calling trying to establish if your number was in use and if a voiceline. If you'd spoken, your number would be logged as a voiceline and some clever con-artist would then be phoning you later.
