SCAM The person calls and reminds you of a meeting you are supposed to join and that he is sending a link for the meeting, which you can access using a code. As you speak, he sends a code which he asks you to read out to him. He seems to be calling members of various WhatsApp groups. He has a West Africa accent

Automated message when you pick up that says ive avoided tax of some sort and that I need to press 1 to speak to someone to avoid it going to court. After pressing 1 it just goes silent and when you call it back it just says persons phone is switched off. Im based in Wales and call is from Manchester so will assume its a scam

Asian woman calling claiming to be from BT Openreach, clearly calling from a call centre but this is a mobile number! When I queried if this call was genuine the woman kept saying I sould "improve my pronounciation", Told her I was unconvinced the call was genuine and hung up.

HMRC SCAM: left a voicemail with a robot voice saying: "HMRC documentation department. Legal actions will be initiated against you shortly. Please press 1 to speak to our officer." This is such an obvious scam, please please REPORT anywhere you can, including HMRC themselves.

SCAM - A lady spoke on the phone telling me they were handling the some kind of power checks after the recent gas and electric crisis. She started on some kind of lengthy spiel about the crisis and how they could help us determine our usage and ho to save us money. When I stopped her and asked her which company she was from she hung-up immediately.

Claimed to be from the "promotional department" of my network provider O2 and they can offer me a 40% discount on my bill. When I asked how much this would be, they said they do not have my contract in front of them and "that we work with all the major networks". I am neither with o2 or have a contract....SCAM Fraud

Even WHEN i don’t know much about computers, i never believed I could have TOTAL access to my spouse’s iPhone, TEXT MESSAGES ,snapchat, call logs , INSTAGRAM ,FACEBOOK, Line and WHATS APP without having physical contact until i was recommendation by my best friend to a professional *hacker*. Well this was interesting! 028 4067 1515 (Banbury) just rang, it is Saturday at 10:55am. I did a quick google while the phone was ringing and came up with the Anglers Rest pub in Banbridge. Weird (I have no connection to the area) but seemingly legit. When I picked up, the caller said he was calling from Currys/PCWorld with a cheap mobile phone offer. I said I don't need a new phone and he said thanks and ended the call. The whole "using a legit number" is hella sneaky!!
I received a phone call from +44 20 8097 5643 claiming I recently responded to a social media ad (I didn't). The scam company is 'Apollo.Expect' their website is https://apollo.expert/ and the caller claimed they were based in oxford and major cities across Europe. There is nothing online about the company so I immediately knew it was a scam. After reminding them they are in breach of GDPR the call immediately ended.
