Don't know who it was, they didn't leave a message, I didn't answer the phone because I was preparing lunch. Have now blocked the number because on another site over 600 people received a call today.

SCAM This was almost definitely a scam of some kind. The caller spoke with accented English in a location with a huge amount of background chatter. He claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse offering very low prices on iPhone, Samsung and Huawei mobile phones. I do not think it was actually Carphone warehouse, as I have never provided my details to them and I would expect they had a call centre environment that sounded a bit less like the outside of a busy London pub on a sunny evening.

Asian Guy (David) calling from Windows Technical about my computer. Apparently something wrong with my computer so need to turn it on so they could sort it out. I asked them to tell me what my computer IP address is - which obviously they can t tell me because they don t know who they are speaking to. IT IS A SCAM - THEY WANT A ONE OFF, LIFETIME PAYMENT. Steve Star from some company offering legal advice and help. Asked if I d had an accident in the last 2.5 years or if someone in the family had. I asked him for the source of the information on me. He asked me what I meant? I said that if he was saying I had an accident , he must have some information on me and in that case, I had a right to know the source. He said " we help people , that s what we do" then he hung up - very helpful!!

Scam number impersonating virgin money. I received a text which appeared to be from virgin money “this is your one time passcode to debit your account (amount) to pay (company). If this was NOT you call us on 03309124638” I called Virgin money directly using their actual number from the back of my bank card to report it, it’s definitely a scam.
Company called Red Star regarding PPI Called me several times without leaving any message so I phoned back.
SPAM Called me this morning and stated he was from Protect or perhaps Protec and stated that they were a government linked company and needed to arrange an inspection of my roof insulation which should be checked every two to three years to eliminate mould etc from damp or deteriorating insulation. I told him it was not necessary but then he lost any confidence I may have had in him by comparing it with a car MOT which has to carried out. I reminded him one is a legal requirement and ended the call.
