Seems to be some call center, I can see more similar numbers (all the same range - 014833220xx) reported here already. No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far. People did someone answer it?

12.30 Midday. Had 6 calls from this number since 8am. Thought from UK as 0131. First two hung up on answering. Third call claimed to be from ISP. Said stop bothering me - they argued back. Since then had further 3 calls. They said they are in INDIA. Total PEST
Googled it and it looked like the Chinese consular office in Manchester. A voicemail was left and it was in Chinese
I made online enquiries about a boiler plan which appears to have sent my number onto various companies - this one included as saying it is E-On calling about that that enquiry. I suspect it s a general telemarketing call centre instructed by various companies to tout business. They keep calling. I ve just blocked the number.
