a man that sounded as if he came from india or pakistan called me Wednesday 24th February 2016 at 5.40pm while I was in my car in traffic with my 2 kids in the back. Wanted to sell me something. I asked repeatedly who he was, where he got my number and where he was calling from. He hanged up. He immediately called me back and all he said very loudly and aggressively YOU F****** B**CH! and hanged up. I was very upset and the kids were distressed. I called the number back and it immediately want dead.

I tried to book a room at The Principal Oxford Spires Hotel, Abingdon Road, OX1 4PS, Oxford and called a number 08448542910 indicated on their website. I had to call twice as there was an automated telephone service and no one was able to answer my phone calls. Last month I saw a charge of 1.38 GBP plus VAT on my phone bill!! What a wrong way to make money!! Looks like the hotel is doing that badly so they have to charge potential customers to simply book a room. According to the reviews on the above number

SCAM - the 3rd such similar text in as many days from different numbers. All had a link to a website that no doubt requests your bank details. In this case the email purported to be from HSBC informing me of a payment made on my card today. It had a helpful link to a site called cancel.banking-process, which funnily enough i did not click.

Caller admitted he was ringing from a call centre, but was polite. Doing market research. Didn't know why this number came up (it's a local number to me).

Not sure which company this is, but they appear to be in Belfast. Always an Asian voice, gets very abusive if you ask them not to call back.

He offered to renew my van insurance, at a lower cost. My van insurance was not due for renewal yet he had a lot of details about me. However the van he had me as owning was from over 5 years ago, so I guess this is some old hacked database and then a scam to get your money. Reckons they have a cheque for £3100 which they say is PPI I wrongly paid on a loan, a local delivery man would deliver the cheque and when it is cleared and the money is in my account he will call again to collect Paysafe Vouchers for £225 which I have to buy and show to the cheque deliverer before he will hand over the cheque. I ve never paid this amount of PPI. And it sounds to me as though the Paysafe vouchers are something which these fraudsters have set up so that when I buy the vouchers from the
