SCAM Unusually, this was actually an English person on the other end of the phone rather than a call centre setting from India etc! The number rang my works mobile at 10:05 09/05/2023. The person on the other end spoke very well and professional, saying that they were calling from HSBC, and were making me aware of activity in my account that looked suspicious, that money was being taken out by an advertising firm. I live in a housing association flat not a private .so stop ringing this number.
Call was at 6.41am. I rang back - not sure if that was wise - there was a mumbled (male) response, something about 'delivery' was all I could make out even though I asked which company. Told them they'd called a wrong number and hung up, feeling uneasy.
We have 2 phones sending 2051 sms. Both are Nokia C21 plus and appear to have been hacked or have malware in stock ROM. Other owners of this phone are reporting the same problem. I established that the caller was a fraud and called them out at which point they stopped being polite and friendly and began to taunt and be abusive. Southend-on-Sea! I've no connections to there any more, none that would have my telephone number. No purchases made from over there. And there are no company names attached to this number. I can only assume phishing or scamming of its not a misdialled number.
Female asked politely how I was then what handset I had. Said I do not want contact and told her she is breach of Telephone Preference and Information Commissioner. She hung up. I expect many more fraudulent calls now!

This number phoned me at 16.31 this afternoon. It sounded as if there was an office or similar room with people talking. When I asked who was calling, without giving my name, a lady said "good afternoon, how are you today?" I asked again who was calling. the lady said " your father" and hung up.
