Asked for me by name and claimed to be from Hear to Help. They asked if anyone had ever worked in a noisy environment. I asked where they got my number from and they said The British Data Company. This is what I ve been told in the past when I ve had the same type of phone call from The Hearing Clinic. I told them I was on the TPS and they said it was their first time calling me. I refused to answer their questions and they hung up.
I called NatWest on their official telephone banking number who confirmed that this is an automated fraud prevention text alert. It was used to verify a suspicious transaction on my account with a simple Yes or No reply to the text. They state they will never ask for personal details on a text. Genuine number.

A company selling a music/advertising on hold facility for our phone system. Told them we weren t interested but they keep phoning back. Always call as if they have already been to see us, they haven t so very misleading.
Mr Peter Johnson (Foreign Accent) Rang me and told me that my internet connection was slow. If i logged onto a site it could help speed it up. He was from BT Techical Help. Didn t answer the call and came here to check the number. Lots of these apparently foreign numbers are actually originating in the UK by using software diallers that mask the caller s true location.As other posters suggest, a good rule of thumb is - if the number looks suspicious it probably is.

I do not have any contract with Sky and no equipment, so I asked which equipment she was referring to at which point she ended the call.
