This number was included in an email saying I had an invoice to pay from PayPal. It is certainly a scam email.

They called pretending to be from Amazon asking for a payment.

I had a phone call from this number which gave an automated message saying it was my bank and that there was suspicious activity (someone had tried to spend £300 on amazon and £1600 elsewhere). It said to press 1 to confirm something. I believe it was a scam.

Adam James Melia and Joshua James Wallsworth are conmen behind many businesses all trying to scam the same way. They are not to be trusted and attempt to sell you Google Advertising whether that's getting you a 'top search result' or getting you reviews on your maps profile. Man with a thick Indian accent rang claiming to be from BT ringing about the internet slowing down at the house. He had my name and address and postcode. When I asked what my account number was he reeled off a number (which later check was wrong). I said I’d call by back and he gave me an 0333 number saying it was BT customer service. Rubbish! Very clever scammers trying to gain access to your internet where they can steal your bank details etc

Banking scam. Recorded message alerting you to two payments supposedly made on your card and asking you to press 1 to speak to someone.

Probable Fraud/Scam - Heavily Indian accented female called Rachel called me purporting to be working for Microsoft at the Reading Campus. Claimed there was a problem with my computer and "bad people were using it for bad things on the internet". Told me she would deactivate my computer if I didn't do what she said. Got quite rude when I told her I didn't believe her. Stalled her for 5 minutes before she hung up on me.

SPAM - Some vague woman wittering on about being "one of the energy advisers for the area" who had no desire to let me speak. Asking her "Which area is that?" caused her to hang up. Trying to call her back resulted in a voice saying "Goodbye" on 4 occasions. could week be a SCAN sales call to elicit information or promote a phony product. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Called saying they were HSBC and wanted to check a transaction on my account Asked me to confirm my date of birth but I told them I would ring back Called the bank on another number and they checked my account there were no issues flagged Therefore a phishing call however this person seemed to know my name and date of birth

i was called by this number with an automated bank message saying money had left my account, press one to stop this happening or two to speak to an advisor DO NOT PRESS ANYTHING my bank confirmed it is a scam
