Automated call to start, saying that my subscription to Amazon will auto renew at £79, and to press 1 to talk to someone about cancelling, I don't pay subscription for Amazon, I was told that it was £79 a month and that I needed to get a cancellation code and fill out a form to cancel!!! I hung up.
This number rung me on easter Sunday, I rung the number back it didn't go to answer phone just kept ringing this is from a scammer Ignore this number !!

I got a call this morning from a guy with an Asian accent saying he's from John lewis. He started saying he was going to ask me a security question and I told him I'll call John lewis myself. He quickly dropped the call.

I had my Call Blocker on so the caller was put through to my answerphone. The 'message' was just several seconds of a crackling/hissing noise, then the call terminated. This is the second call received from very similar numbers in the last few days, both numbers beginning with 0161 66. Very strange that the company insuring me (they're not, of course) has no idea what appliances I have. Calls coming 2-4 times each day.
