SCAM call asking to speak to a person who doesn't exist at my address - when asked who was calling, he said he was calling about the washing machine warranty that's expired and he was calling to offer a renewal. I asked him what washing machine and he said 'the washing machine manufacturer's warranty - i.e. didn't answer the question. I asked him who the company was and he said PYG - when I said, never heard of them, no such person as you requested and we're on the telephone preference list, he hung up.

I have reported them to the fraud squad along with emailing my bank to see if I can get the money back through them as I too, borrowed money to do this. On answering what was apparently a London number, a completely automated female voice started rambling on that it was on behalf of someone from HMRC (an officer Denis Grey) and that I or my solicitor needed to call back 'or face the consequences' (oooohh, so scary! *sarcasm*) Just plain irritating and stupid.
