These calls use spoofed numbers and originate outside the UK. Just block the number if you have the facility. TPS is useless against these callers.

I have had a few calls from this number in the last few days. Not yet been able to get to my phone quick enough to answer it.I have just gone over from orange to EE as I was due an upgrade. Rang once, couldn t understand name of company but heard PPI, so put phone down, rang back immediately and the male operative said, "Why did you put the phone down", I replied, "Cos I m not interested". He answered, "Interested in what" in an angry tone, so I just said, "In whatever you re selling" and hung up again. The phone then rang again immediately and I didn t answer. Didn t like the tone of the call at all, or appreciate being rung back a further twice.

I live in australia and received a call from this number. No one on the other end.
This is a scam number. They called me and it sounded like a recorded message. The message was they were from Inland Revenue and that there has been a warrant issued for me for defrauding Inland Revenue. Then press 1 to speak to someone. At this point I hung up as I know Inland Revenue do not make cold call. They would generally write to you if there are issues.
