Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 17734055xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, insurance claims, but also energy schemes - Scottish power. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
Text suggested compensation refund of ?2,130 due to me from PPI misselling. But I have never had PPI so clearly just fishing.
Fraud recorded message from tax office , saying you have committed tax fraud. Also saying you must press 1 to continue with this call or a warrant will be issued for your arrest . I hung up and called HMRC They confirmed it is a FRAUDULENT CALL. ... HANG UP STRAIGHT AWAY .

SCAM. Initial silence then a voice saying that like most people in the last 10 to 20 years I probably had fibreglass loft insulation on a government scheme and now had damp and mould. He wanted to arrange a loft survey. I said I had no loft insulation and could check my own loft but he carried on. When I asked, he said he worked for “...the Insulation Advisory Line in Reading.” When I queried who had asked them to undertake a survey the call ended. Indian man rang me at about 10:30am 26/7/2021 saying that they'd just been upgrading my Broadband and noticed spam being sent to me and hacker activity. Wanted me to turn on my computer. I put the phone down. Have fallen for one of these scams before with someone getting me to download AnyDesk in order for the caller to remotely take over control of my laptop. BEWARE!!
