Twice when I picked up the phone the line went dead. The third time, a lady said something which included the words "Tax refund" but, despite asking her to repeat herself several times, I could not make out anything else she said as she had a very strong foreign accent. So I blocked the number.
Liekly scam. Claimed to be from Nationwide and wanted details about account. Nationwide denied the call came from them.
This is providing HMRC scams within the United Kingdom, saying that a person has been registered for tax fraud and will be sued or things of that nature. If you receive this call, DO NOT speak to them, hang up the phone!

This number is on documentation relating to a complaint letter supposedly from Bank of Scotland. No complaint made looks like it wants you to phone the number where I suspect charges will be incurred. It is a scam and the second one I have received. Address does not tie up no phone number like it on bank website letter unprofessional.

The usual crap is then given re pressing 1 or 2 depending on how you want to proceed. Complete load of rubbish. I get regular calls from a variety of numbers all exactly the same. They want shooting! Bloody nuisance.

Please be extremely careful if you pick up your phone as it’s LOCAL number because I’ve had lots of these calls that I don’t answer & it’s impossible to phone back because you get the number you have Dialled has not been Recognised. It’s definitely a Sophisticated Scamming System.

AMAZON A lady with an Indian accent said she was from amazon and was calling about my prime account being charged and did I want my money back. I told her I didn't have a prime account. She said if I switch on my computer she will show me. I said why should I switch on my computer to find something that I don't have. She was rude and insistent.

Yeah, these idiots keep calling me too. My advice is to play along and waste their time. I spent hours providing them false contact and banking details. They got really angry when they kept asking me to confirm the account number. It feels so good wasting their time when then had full intentions of wasting myne / whilst trying to rob me blind . This appears to be a bank scam with claims that "your visa card has been charged £500+ on an amazon purchase, and another charge as well. and to press 1 (I think) On phoning back, the number is not reccognised. Interestingly, my own phone number is 014195632xx.

Automated call : Sounded like an old lady offering me a free Energy Survey. However, when I tried to ask questions the spiel just continued with no response to me until the caller ended the call.

Another AMAZON SPAM female-voice call at 1117hrs 6-2-2023 called apparently from 01268-763345.
Got a call from this number and when i answered it the phone went dead , looks like on these scam sites who use a computer to call numbers and if you answer they keep a record and then later on call you to sell you insurance etc.
