Fraud Call - I got a called from this number saying they were from O2 and offering me a 40% discount on my bill. They said I would receive a code from them and to read it out to them. I got 2 messages from O2 saying I had requested a security code and not to give the code to anyone and if I suspected fraud to call 202. The lady got really aggressive when I said I wouldn't give her the code as O2 shouldn't need the code. When I said I would check if this was ok she gave me another number to call to verify -

Called twice in two days, claimed to be named "Alice" the first time (unlikely, given her heavy Indian accent), claimed to be from BT Openreach. We use a VOIP system so I put the phone down. Second time, gave no name but claimed to be calling from "[y]our electricity provider". SCAM Telling me my Amazon account was being charged over £2,000 for a phone which was being dispatched today. "If you did not place this order please press 1 to be connected to Amazon customer services ". Needless to say, I hung up and checked my account, just to be on the safe side! ????

A SCAM - be very careful as the person on the phone will try to get you to download a programme called "anydesk.com" which gives remote access to your computer. In my case the person said he was from SKY and was checking on my report on bad internet signal (that part was true). He took me through a few dialogue boxes (thankfully I knew that I was not changing settings). He then tried to get me to download the programme. Thankfully I questioned it. He hung up. Was called this morning about 10am was a recorded message, saying we need your authority to pass payment to amazon of £500, and also about a £1000 that needs authorising, the recorded message was crackling and hard to hear all but i just hung up. then did 1471 to see who it was as they made out it was my bank wanting authorisation.

Called saying that they were from bank and that Amazon had taken money from my bank account for items sent abroad.
I have received phone calls from this number a few times so I called to tell them to stop calling. The call went to the answering machine message "your call is very important to us, please stay on the line and wait for the next available agent" - no mention of company name (always a rubbish sign), I waited 5 minutes and they disconnected.

SCAM Automated call from 'Bank Security' saying payments had been taken from my card, one of £300 to Amazon and one an International Transfer of £1,100 (figures approximate). Call sent because, "I had never used these services before." An invitation followed to Press 1 or 2 to cancel or speak to an advisor. Looks like a genuine number from my geographical area. I did not press any digits, hung up and did not attempt a call-back. Perhaps a spoofed number - potentially dangerous.
