SCAM - On answer a strident recorded message tells you that "A criminal tax fraud case has been lodged against you". I didn't bother listening to the full message - I heard enough to know it was a pathetic criminal trying to scare people into handing them either personal data or money. This was actually just an automated BT text-to-landline service telling me the time slot for my Costco parcel delivery that I was expecting, so this was completely legit for me. It will try ringing you several times until you listen to the text message so just listen and it will stop. However, as it's a generic BT service it is open to abuse but I would advise against blocking it because the message delivery service itself is not a scam, just be aware though that the message you receive could be bogus.

Fraudulent scam - tried to make out he was calling from HMRC and that there is a problem with my National Insurance number and hat I needed to call urgently to resolve.
Received call from this number 07787 406 551. Message was left. Seems to be like a robot voice. Threatened to contact Police and pass along NiNo for making annoying calls. This can easily scare people who are unaware of scammers.
