I want to speak to you about your BT line - are you the person responsible" Just the same old same old from one of the dodgy, pretend phone companies - didn t know the account holder name, or which account number, and was just trying to scam his way in.

Was called today from thus number...it ws picked up shortly after l answer but the usual blurb of an accident. ..told the person calling that was not the case and it was a scam. Put phone down and have blocked number in future.
Received call. Caller mentioned my contact details had been obtained from a publicly available data base and he could help me protect my computer. When I pressed him to provide the contact details of the database so I could correct some personal data they hold which is incorrect - which I should do under the DPA the line hung up. I suspect this is a scam.
