I have caller ID. The number 00349441210763 was shown which immediately changed to 01213140763, so I suspect the number was spoofed. The first number was probably spoofed also, as I have international calls barred. The caller had a thick foreign accent and I did not understand everything that was said. I was asked to confirm that I had a Pay-as-you-go SIM from a particular network (note the call was to my land line). I am wary of giving details to an unexpected caller. Steve Star from some company offering legal advice and help. Asked if I d had an accident in the last 2.5 years or if someone in the family had. I asked him for the source of the information on me. He asked me what I meant? I said that if he was saying I had an accident , he must have some information on me and in that case, I had a right to know the source. He said " we help people , that s what we do" then he hung up - very helpful!!

Caller said they wanted to ask how I was getting on with new mobile - odd as I have had this one for nearly 18 months! I asked where they had got my number from - they kept repeating they obtained data from market research - I said that was not enough & asked to speak to their supervisor - they put phone down.

Answered the phone, none there. said hello, then I heard laughing and joking. They realised I had answered and just hung up. I have no idea how they have got my number. This company should be banned
