Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 16893259xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with Pension review company, PPI. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...

Received call today answered at is was my local area code a male asked to speak to me by my surname when i asked who was calling he said a company name which I couldn't make out clearly 'bright' something. I said if they were selling something I was not interested he said was not selling and they wanted to send me some vouchers !!! scam company tried to sell me a loan for £2000 and wanted a fee of £130 up front in cash paying. I asked for their consumer credit license number and they gave me one which isn t registered to them and lapsed in 2010 (572026). They also said they were part of Crowdcude which they are not, and call themselves Start Up Loans Ltd. No such company is registered with companies house. Funnily based in Glasgow apparently, none of the advisors had Scottish accents, but all had African ones.
