They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls.

Supposed to be microsoft security as have had a pop up block my laptop and quotes this number to contact to help unlock the block.

SCAM - Caller knew my name and claimed to be from housing association. Given that others have answered and left comments after being told it is a accident claim company, it is safe to assume this is a scam.

Received a message "Got your number in my phone, are you Jack?" Which creepily, I am. But coming on here and seeing others with the numbers shows it's clearly a scam.

This looks to be a scam. I telephoned this number after missing a call and receiving a voicemail message from someone calling himself "John" asking me to call another number. The above telephone number is an automated voicemail service(possibly USA), with no company name given or any indication of identity.

Number 02071124802 phoned me and said they was from start up loans. www.startuploans.co.uk and wanted me to transfer them £58 for the loan to be secured under the insurance. They provided me with a person called Jamin bank details which straight away is strange for a company. I was told it was the managers details as money transferred to the company always bounces back. Called from Citizens advice group. I questioned the male caller with a south Asian accent in some detail. He was very helpful. They were calling about debts and he asked what debts we had. I asked him where they got our number and he replied FCA ????????????. I then asked him for the person or department name as I have previously worked with FCA in the past, he didn’t give it to me. He was very polite and said he couldn’t continue. He also said they weren’t authorised in the UK!

SCAM James (with a non English accent) called to tell me that my (non existent with Domestic appliance that he purported to be from) home contents insurance had expired. I hung up, didn't have time to call him out on his fraudulent activities today.

Strong foreign asking for me by my first name. Wanting to know if I was a housing association/council tenant and discuss paying for costs of repairs/damages. Very difficult to understand. Not at all relevant to me and I believe it was a scam.

Scam from asian sounding male suposedly working for Virgin Media and claiming that my router was faulty. After getting me to jump through some hoops, told me that I would be getting a new router and £204.56 in compensation. That when I realised it was a scam and they needed my account details which they did not get.
