They called me today and asked for me by my first name to sell me a life insurance policy. When I asked them where did you get my contact details, they answered that it was from their search engine as I expressed my interest in such a policy in the past. I challenged them that I did t supply my information to be called for a life insurance product then she asked me if I have a family and how old I am. I declined to answer and then ended the call.

This number is a company called Natural Essentials. They flog over-priced vitamins and supplements to vulnerable elderly people. They are really persistent. When they come up against call blockers, they instantly re-dial with alternative numbers. Just recently they are even switching to international numbers in an effort to bypass. Associated numbers are 08000148950, 08000148960, 02034567894, 02034535242, 02034535243, 02034535244, 02034535245, 02034535246, 02034535247, 02034535248. Block them all!

I have four calls this morning 2 numbers I did not managed to log, the third was a private number. This one I logged. Each call is telling me they are calling me from Sky, none are native English speakers, telling me I have a problems with my internet connection, which I do not, being an IT consultant I think I am in a good position to know. When I tell them my credentials they hang up. Going to speak to sky and pass all the information on. First caller did ask if I could hear him.

Fraud: This was a text received stating someone was trying to change recipient details on an HSBC account and they wanted me to confirm details and authenticity. However, I have not had an HSBC account for more than 4 years. Please report the number to your phone carrier and apply the normal block and spam filter to the number. THEY PHONED MY SHOP TODAY SAYING THEY WERE FROM METERING DEPARTMENT AND MY GAS METER WAS GIVING FALSE READING OF OVER £6000, THEY WANTED TO SEND AN ENGINEER TO CHECK IT BUT NEEDED MY CONTRACT NUMBER. It's a fraud scam. They've somehow got a list of people who have purchased white goods and they're calling them to tell them the warranty has expired. I told him to fuck off and put the phone down as they were clearly trying to get me to pay for a new insurance policy when I blatantly didn't.
