Cold caller who called our TPS registered line, asking to speak to a named member of staff. Claimed to be Ewan from Connect (n.b. *not* BT Connect, just Connect ) and said he would be in our local area tomorrow, but then named a town over 20 miles away. Said he wished to discuss our upcoming assessment and proceeded to try to talk about saving money on your phone bill and broadband at which point we said we weren t interested and hung up.

It IS Advantis, which I understand is a collection agency with gov contracts, but I, WITHOUT ANY DOUBT WHATSOEVER, have NO debt, never mind outstanding debt, and I am DEFINITELY NOT connected to any HMRC "issues", either myself or vicariously. So obviously they either make mistakes, or they are involved in other activities outside of outstanding debt.
