These people are scammers who target elderly vulnerable people. They cold called my mother who has dementia, despite her being registered with the TPS. They talked her into completely unnecessary cover for a washing machine for £225 pounds. This seems to be their MO as I have now seen it on numerous forums about them. This is now in the hands of her banks fraud team.

Keeps calling saying and when answered a pre-recorded message states that it is urgent for them to speak to me and I should ring a 0844 number asap.

I get about 5 calls every day from this number, sometimes it rings a couple of times and then hang up, if I manage to answer the call nobody speaks then they hang up. I am sick to death of them, time wasters

Caller identified herself as Julie Smith from Signet Advice (as far as I could tell with some background noise). Said she d been informed I was recently injured in a car accident that wasn t my fault. I asked her how she knew that. She replied that she was sorry to bother me and would remove my phone number from their database and hung up on me without pausing for breath. Pond scum.
