A man with a strong Indian/Pakistani accent called and told me he was calling from BT as my broadband connection was to be updated. He asked me to turn on my router and my laptop and the update would automatically start to download. I said that there have been a number of scam calls asking people to do this, would he mind if I hung up and called him back. Said he was calling from my household insurance company, which was a lie because I am with Domestic and General. He kept trying to say it was an adjustment to my payment method. When I let on I was with Domestic & General he rudely hung up without another word. I am registered with TPS so this is a real nuisance to keep getting calls like this.

Seems to be another number related to the RSPCA - check them at http://www.rspca.org.uk/home - but this number is used by a global call centre working for multiple charities, and the bad thing is that they share the database of numbers, so can call you not only in the name of RSPCA then... Probably I will block this number, it became just a nuisance...
